🏕️ We’re Back! A Camping with the Innies Update

Hey friends — it’s been a minute. If you’ve been wondering where Camping with the Innieswandered off to, don’t worry… we didn’t fall off a cliff or forget how to pitch a tent. Life got busy, adventures kept happening, and somewhere along the way we realized we had a lot of stories piling up that needed a campfire.

That’s why we’re excited to finally say: we’re back, and we’ve got a lot in store.

To kick things off again, we launched our very first podcast episode:

Set Up, Tear Down: Tips, Trips & Campfire Tails — and it felt like the perfect way to ease back into sharing what we love most: real camping experiences, the lessons we’ve learned, and the fun (and chaos) that comes with them.

🔥 How It All Started

In this first episode, Tim talks about how camping became such a big part of our lives — from early tent trips and island camping to building out campers and figuring things out the hard way. Like most campers, we didn’t start out knowing everything. We learned by doing, messing up, laughing about it, and going back out anyway.

That mindset is really what Camping with the Innies has always been about:

not perfection, not fancy gear — just getting outside, learning as you go, and enjoying the ride.

We also officially introduce two very important (and very opinionated) members of our crew: Monty and Gadget, our Shiba Inu camping companions. If you’ve ever camped with dogs, you already know they add equal parts joy, unpredictability, and entertainment to every trip.

🛠️ What We Covered in the Episode

The episode is part storytelling, part table-setting for what’s coming next. We talk about:

• How Camping with the Innies came to be

• Why honest conversations about camping matter

• The difference between expectations and reality outdoors

• Upcoming trips and adventures we’re planning

• Why we want this space to be interactive — not just us talking at you

It’s less about teaching and more about sharing — the good, the bad, and the funny stuff you only learn once you’re out there.

🌲 What’s Coming Next

This blog and the podcast are both getting a fresh start. Going forward, you can expect:

• New podcast episodes with practical tips and real experiences

• Blog posts about gear, setup, tear down, and trip recaps

• Campfire tales that are sometimes helpful and sometimes just entertaining

• Stories from the road, the campsite, and everything in between

• More ways for you to be part of the conversation — questions, stories, and tips from fellow campers

We want this to feel like pulling up a chair at the fire, not scrolling past another polished highlight reel.

đź’Ś Let’s Catch Up

If you’ve stuck around during the quiet stretch — thank you. And if you’re new here, welcome. We’re glad you found us.

Have a camping question? A trip story? A mistake you can laugh about now?

We’d love to hear it and maybe even share it in a future episode or post.

Here’s to getting back outside, slowing down, and telling better stories around the fire.

See you out there,

Tim, Kristen, Monty and Gadget 🏕️
